Tributaries of Grace
Despite our best efforts, it can be difficult to see large-scale forces molding our lives. How did we become the people we are today? Why do we prioritize certain things over others? Why are we annoyed by some people while finding others hilarious? Without stepping back to assess what has shaped us in the past, we are unlikely to examine current trends carving grooves in the stone of our days without spastic reactivity.
While water and wind wield massive power to reshape the earth through cataclysmic events, more often than not they do their transforming work without our notice—persistently moving earth with their constant relocating flow. The force of a mighty wind against our bodies or the feeling in our feet as we approach a towering waterfall can leave us awestruck by the scale of their strength and the frailty of our frame.
